This is how Enigio time:mail works

timemail icon

By using Enigio time:mail you can securely time:stamp your e-mail correspondence. Thereafter you can safely prove that an e-mail has been sent (or received) at a specific time, to whom it was sent and how it looked when it was sent (or received).

Enigio time:mail is based on Enigio time:stamp and uses similar technology in order to prove that an e-mail was sent at a certain point in time, from a certain e-mail address and that it hasn't been altered since. The e-mail is time:stamped and saved together with important metadata - e-mail senders and receivers, subject, attachments and IP-addresses.

1. Fingerprint

Enigio time:mail saves all content of an e-mail including attachments. The e-mail is sent to Enigio Times server and will be used as basis to prove how the e-mail looked at that specific time.

2. time:mail

The mail sent to Enigio Time´s server receives a time:stamp and that combination becomes the proof. The time:mail thereafter serves as a proof on how the e-mail looked like and what was the content at that specific moment. This is possible to prove due to the fact that only exactly that e-mail can generate the same unique digital fingerprint.

3. Proof

The proof is generated by a mathematical fabric that binds the document's time stamp with a number of public reliable sources and published codes which thus makes it impossible to manipulate. Even for Enigio.

4. Verify

After an e-mail has been time:stamped, it is easy to access the mathematical proof and verification at our website. The proof can be retrieved at any time. It is also possible to copy the proof and use it with no further involvement of Enigio Time.
